Any video off your phone. Keep it short and pick a moment, not a whole afternoon.

Make it square, then drop it in.
The screen is round, so the file needs to be square, 480 by 480 pixels. The card in the box shows you how in any free video app, and it takes about a minute. Then plug the orb in and drag the file across.

Hang it up.
Loop the ribbon over a branch and press the button. It plays on its own until the battery runs down.

Can you send it straight to the person it is for?
Put their address in at checkout. Reply to your order confirmation email and we leave the price off the paperwork.

Is it hard to set up?
About three minutes. The only real step is making your video square at 480 by 480 pixels, which any free video app does in under a minute, and the card in the box walks you through it. After that it is drag and drop, the same as copying a photo to a USB stick.
How long does the battery last?
Three to four hours of playback on a full charge over USB-C. On the day itself most people leave it plugged in so it runs all evening, then unplug it when they want it on the tree for photos.
How good does the picture actually look?
It is a small round screen behind a curved dome, so it looks like a memory rather than a television. Bright enough to see clearly across a dark room, soft around the edges where the glass curves. Look at the clip filmed on an ordinary tree further up this page, and judge it for yourself.
Can I change the video later?
As many times as you like. Plug it in, delete the old file, drag a new one over. Plenty of people change it every year, which is half the point of owning one.
Does it have sound?
Yes, there is a small speaker in the white half, so you hear the clip as well as watch it.
Is it heavy for a tree branch?
It hangs like a normal ornament on the ribbon loop that comes with it. Put it on a branch close to the trunk where the wood is stronger, the same as you would with a glass bauble.
What if it turns up damaged?
Send a photo and we replace it. No forms, no argument, no sending it back first.
